Soft wash vs. pressure wash
Siding, roofs, and painted surfaces get a low-pressure soft wash with a cleaning solution that kills the algae. Concrete and bare wood decks get higher pressure with a surface cleaner or fan tip. We choose per surface.
Spot painting vs. full exterior
We handle trim, doors, shutters, railings, and small siding areas. A full-house exterior repaint is a multi-week painting-contractor project, and we will tell you when your job is that size.
Paint or replace trim
Trim that is peeling but sound can be scraped, primed, and painted. Trim that is soft or split is replaced — often with PVC or composite so it does not rot again.
Before you book
Weather and season
Exterior paint needs surface temperatures above about 50°F, low humidity, and no rain for a day or two after. In Harford County that means roughly April through October. Washing is possible most of the year.
Lead paint on older homes
Exterior trim on homes built before 1978 may carry lead paint. Federal RRP rules apply to scraping and sanding those surfaces. Tell us the age of the house.
What washing does not fix
Washing removes algae and dirt. It does not restore chalked or faded siding, and it can reveal paint that was already failing. We will set expectations before we start.
Landscaping and water

Will pressure washing damage my siding?
Not if it is done at the right pressure. Vinyl and painted surfaces get a low-pressure soft wash with a cleaning solution; only concrete and bare wood get high pressure. The green comes off with the chemistry, not the force.
How often should a house be washed here?
Most Harford County homes benefit from a wash every one to two years, sooner on shaded north sides and near tree lines where algae grows fastest.
Do you paint whole house exteriors?
No. We paint trim, doors, shutters, railings, porches, and small siding areas. A full exterior repaint is a job for a painting contractor with a crew and lift, and we will say so if that is what you need.
Can you paint my front door in a day?
Usually, yes — remove or mask hardware, sand, prime as needed, and two coats. It needs a dry day above 50°F and should stay open or ajar for several hours to cure.
Should I wash the deck before staining?
Yes, and it should dry for a couple of days before stain goes on. We often do the wash on one visit and the stain on the next.
Do you clean roofs?
We do not walk on or wash roofs. Black streaks on shingles are a job for a soft-wash roof cleaning company.
Can you fix the rotted trim before you paint it?
Yes. Replacing soft corner boards, window trim, and fascia sections is part of the job, usually with PVC or composite trim that will not rot again.
